identity

when is a line a drawing? when is it a string of words? what does it say? how does it say it? does it hang just outside comprehension? pegged onto dreams and missmelled memories?

a word, just one word: llym

llym 1. strict adj. keen adj. acute adj. severe adj.
llym (bad tempered, spiteful) 2. vicious adj.
llym (taste, smell) 3. poignant adj.

I became caught up in a word yesterday. In the context that I found it - llym y llygaid: eyes, for lesser celendine - what does it mean? The petals are sharp, perhaps keen. Or could there be a moment of synesthesia: taste and smell transposed to sight?
